We love this little place and drive right passed the Michelin rated Thai restaurant in Sebastopol to eat there. The owners are so kind and the food is authentic an delicious. AND they'll package to go food in cardboard not plastic.
Nice people, great food!
Their red shrimp curry is the best I've ever tasted. Amazing!
Best Thai food in town.
I love this restaurant. Food is consistently good as is the service.
Food was delicious. Definitely worth the drive to Sebastopol. Hope to come back soon. Only problem is parking, so be prepared to walk at least a block to get here. It's worth it though.
We've had great food and service from the Thai Pot for years. But this last weekend when a caterer in Petaluma completely flaked on our to go order for our annual post holiday party for our employees, the Thai Pot was able to put a great spread together for 30 people in an hour. So glad they're a part of our community!
The best Thai food in all of Sonoma county. I really love the family who works there. They are so sweet and always say hi to me. One time, I went in to order something and they remembered my order! And it's cool they have boba now. You should try it!
My wife had throat surgery last week. She's been on a basically liquid diet. She asked for some wanton soup. I'd heard that a local place had good wanton soup. It was the best wanton soup she's ever had. I had a taste and I totally agree! I had also heard that Thai tea was really good. So i had one while I waited for the soup. I will be back, my wife loved the soup, as did I and the Tea was great! Next time I will ask the owners name and let him know he has some new customers as long as he is there.
I had a less than positive experience with Thai Pot's pad Thai way back in the year 2000 or thereabouts, and it left a literal bad taste in my mouth. Not so when I finally gave them a second chance, however.
I had a vegetable soup with tofu and it was the perfect dinner for a rainy evening--a light but flavorful broth, full of veggies and filling slabs of tofu. My grandma had the cashew vegetables which featured one of the best stir fry sauces I've tried.
Prices are reasonable, and they give you chocolate truffles with the check.
The only drawback really is the ambiance. Kind of cold and didn't get greeted/seated for a few minutes. I'd still go back, though. They've redeemed themselves.
Overall a good experience and good food. My guests complimented on the ambiance and decor.
I'm happy with the prices, but a $2.00 charge that I have no idea what it was for, and due to the confusion of how much soup to order, we got 2 very large bowls of the #16 Thom Kha Gai, and the cost was slightly more than listed on the menu, a bargain.
Server seemed neutral, neither friendly or not. But did have trouble understanding the orders, with three of us ordering, not all in order.
It looked like the broccoli was cooked to perfection on the #38 or #48 entrees for my guests, not sure which, but the broccoli was overcooked and fewer on my entree.
The Thom Kha Gai was good but did seem to be light on a bit of spices, lemongrass? perhaps.
I do much prefer the food at another Thai place, Lynns, 10 miles away, although even there the servers are not rude, but not friendly either.

I'm gonna be honest; I had a less than positive experience with Thai Pot's pad Thai way back in the year 2000 or thereabouts, and it left a literal bad taste in my mouth. Not so when I finally gave them a second chance, however.

Food is one of the best Thai food we've even had. Owners and family are so welcoming. We come up all the way from Southern California just to eat here!
Delicious egg plant vegetable dish over sticky rice, with a side of peanut sauce and coconut tea. Nice calm atmosphere with art
Wonderful !!
Hands down, my favorite restaurant. The food and service are excellent. I often get take-out for enough meals to last a few days. They re-heat perfectly, which is an indication that the ingredients are grear. Another thing I love about Thai Pot is that spicey means spicey and mild is mild. There's no grey area here. You get what you order. Fabulous place.
Need delivery
????
Food is great. Service is exceptional. Atmosphere isn't bad. I'll come here every once in a while. Food is very proportional to the price and will fill you up every time you come in. Would recommend.
Again we were NOT disappointed. We had chicken fried rice, chicken chow mein and Mu su mon chicken curry. The service is always wonderful. I recommend you give this place a try. You wont be disappointed.
This place is so good. I love the fresh rolls and yellow curry. The best!
Ordered delivery. All was nicely packaged and all the food was yummy and fresh, light and well spiced. Delivery came much faster then expected by a courteous and nice driver. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
Love their food. I've been in the restaurant once and ordered delivery twice. My only criticism would probably be for Yelp, not Thai Pot. Each order came with nothing aside from the food, no chopsticks, napkins, sauces, nothing.
We eat here often. The Mu sa mun Curry is delicious. The Thai fried rice, Basil Chicken and Chow Mein are yumdiggity. W always have excellent consistent food. Jasmine our server always gives us excellent service. We recommend you stop by and enjoy the food. It is definitely worth the drive
Amazing service and the food always comes very fast. One of my favorite places to go for Thai food. It is a very quiet atmosphere and the food is amazing. Highly recommend
I've been coming here for years, always consistantly good Thai food, traditional recipes and very sweet staff
Had a great lunch at Thai Pot. They had Pot Stickers on their specials menu and they were garlicky, fresh and delicious. The food looks and tastes like someone in the kitchen is actually cutting up fresh veg, not just dumping in frozen crap. Staff is friendly and quick. Prices are fair, of course I wish they were lower, but food is just expensive.
Also ate chicken yellow curry, asked for spicy, I would say it was more in the medium range but spice is a scale and everyone is different. Thai sticky rice is great and is the only time I ever eat rice. There are at least four parking lots within two blocks so it's pretty easy to get to.
Went here after having trouble finding vegan food around town. The decor of the place is a little drab but I couldn't care less because we were all catered to with 5 different delicious vegetarian meals. I had the vegetarian Labna with black bean sauce and it was amazing.
Thai Pot is a good choice for casual Thai food. Good Thom Kha and curries. Favorites are Pad Thai, fried rice, and curries.
Service is prompt and friendly.
All in all, a great place for Thai!
The food is delicious and the staff are very nice. My favorite Thai place is Sebastopol
We have eaten here several times. Each time the food has been great. The spring rolls is one of our favorites, always fresh. We have ordered many of the entrees and have never been disappointed. Service is great and we have always been welcomed each time we enter.
Highly recommend eating here. When I came, it was very busy but it didn't affect their customer service. The food came out quick and it still tasted delightful and fully cooked. The waiters were very nice and always smiling.
P.S. Very big fan of the Yellow Curry with medium heat. Flavors are full and fresh (:
Thank you, Shui, your work and food are so great!!
Absolutely love Thai pot in sebastopol. Everyone is so nice and they remember my order along with having no tomatoes in my fried rice. I highly recommend the yellow chicken curry along woth a Thai iced tea!
We came in with a party of 35 people, and the staffing was down to 2 people. Despite the circumstance they provided excellent service and tended to every customer on a great and timely manner. I would definitely recommend!
Party of 35 and still excellent service, food came out quick and was very decent Thai food will come back again
My order came out in a very good and timely manner, and the food was delicious!! The staff is super hard working and I would definitely come back again.
PS: I highly recommend getting their Thai Tea, it's better than any other usual places :)
This has been one of our favorite restaurants in Sebastopol for many years & we've always had a good experience whenever we've come here. Most recently, I ordered the curried seafood soup & my wife ordered the Tom Yum Gai [chicken soup], both equally excellent. There's peaceful music on in the background & no tv, thankfully. There's no need for a happy hour here, since the wine prices are so affordable. $4 for house wine, plum wine & sake. My Seafood Curry Soup had plenty of mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp & calamari in it. Thai Pot also has daily lunch & dinner specials. There are even 6 soups that aren't on the main menu under glass on the table. With or without a coupon, the prices are very reasonable here.
This is my local go-to for thai food.
Never been disappointed, always happy to go there!
Two words: Vegetarian Dinner. Every course was perfection. Best Thai I've had in Sonoma County.
Always excellent food and service
Delicious, fast delivery, great service! Highly recommend.
Always amazing and great service. Will not be dossapointment. Staff is always friendly and with a smile and always remember what temperature I like my curry and what veggies I don't like etc.. I always tip them accordingly because of this service. It's great when your servers remember you and your order. Makes my return visit all the more better. I return frequently and will continue to.
This place has an amazing selection of vegetarian dishes and they are prepared with love. I enjoyed everything we got... green onion pancakes, fried tofu, pad thai, and pumpkin curry! We will be back soon and I want to try so much more!
I LOVE Thai Pot! Not only do they have delicious food but they also have excellent service and a casual but current atmosphere (they recently updated). We have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed it. I love that it is a family run restaurant and they continue to keep up with the times and offer amazing food and stellar service! Tonight a friend and I ordered pumpkin curry and asked for other veggies to be added (no problem). We also ordered the garlic chicken (with big chunks of mushrooms and water chestnuts) in a delicious sauce and brown rice. Everything was amazingly tasty and we both went home with leftovers as well. Thank you Thai Pot!!!
The food here was excellent, across the board. Last night was my first time here, and I'd love to go back! Prices are reasonable, service is fast and very friendly! We got soup, eggplant, and fresh rolls. Delicious!
Next time we'll definitely be sure to look at the specials board though. We would have ordered from there, if we'd known about the option.
I am a regular here. The gentleman and his family that own and operate the store are AMAZING. He remembers me and my unique order every time. They have the BEST tom ka soup. Highly suggest trying it out.
I think the quality of the ingredients was good and the chicken was cooked nicely. Better than other places that always over cook chicken. However, the green curry lacked a bit in flavor. Would go back.
Delicious, fast, friendly. Really nice people and we had a really wonderful, fresh pumpkin curry and vegetable curry. I have been there in years past but I'm thinking they've gotten better recently so give them a try again!! I was extremely happy I did and will go back soon.
I LOVE this place! The yellow chicken curry is an addiction. My kids (who are picky-picky) love the chicken satay, so we can eat here as a family! The owners do a very nice job with their business, and they are consistenly nice, and the service is always speedy. This place is a takeout mainstay for us.
Great restaurant. The service is quick and friendly, the food was fresh and delicious. We shared two vegetarian dishes with tofu, and everything was so fresh. Try the "special sauce", as it's garlic sauce, and delicious. I look forward to returning. The chocolate candies after were yummy, too.
We have never been disappointed with the food - quality!
This is the best Thai place around. The curries are balanced yet spicy with heat to taste as ordered. The pumpkin curry is especially great. The peanut sauce is the best I have ever tasted.
After an unsavory Thai experience for lunch at another restaurant I was left feeling hungry. Thai pot was absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly and upbeat. The restaurant served deliciously flavorful food. I am vegetarian and they were able to give me more options than any other Thai place I've been to since I've moved to Santa Rosa from SF. Try the tofu cakes. They are amazing! Thank you Thai pot I will be back!
On a cold day after work, I love getting an order of chicken curry with brown rice to go. They make it nice and spicy as per my request. The drive home in my car is torturous with how delicious the aroma permeates throughout my vehicle!
When I eat in, the owners and servers are very sweet and friendly folk. I love their BBQ chicken, pineapple fried rice, and curries with chicken! It's a small restaurant with a cozy appeal that makes one want to linger and savor food over warm tea. The food is delicious and they are willing to change anything to accommodate food allergies. I like this little gem hidden off of Fulton Road just outside the hustle and bustle of Santa Rosa.
I love this place and most of all my children who are now grown wont eat at any other place. When my daughter was away at school all she wanted us to bring her for her birthday was the pad thai !
Thai Pot is our local favorite for casual Thai food. Best Thom Kha in the area, and delicious flavors in everything else we've ordered. Favorites are Pad Thai, fried rice, and curries.
Service is prompt and friendly.
All in all, a great place for authentic Thai!
My girlfriend and I had Basil Chicken. Excellent service and delicious food. We enjoyed it very much along with a couple of pots of hot tea. Lucky for us we were the only people in their aside from a few people who ordered take out. I recommend it.
Thai Pot is my favorite place in Sebastopol. The won ton appetizer is not to be missed.
I enjoy this place very much, the food and service is wonderful. The place has gone through some recent renovations and the atmosphere is inviting. I can't help but wonder why they are not packed every night of the week. We dine in and take away, of course the food tastes better when dining in, but is fantastic take away. I highly recommend this place, support your local restaurants.
We totally love this restaurant! It's one of my local favorites! I always get the Chicken Satay with an extra side of peanut sauce. I also love the Thai Iced Tea! The staff is very helpful and kind. They know all four of our orders when we walk it, customer service at its best.
It's too bad they don't have the extra funds to fix the inside up, however, the food needs NO upgrades!
we love this place and the people who run it can't be nicer.... A lot of our friends eat there and we always buy extra for take home .... just sad they are closed on Thanksgiving! LOL
Oh well,,, we will catch them later... I LOVE LOVE LOVE the BBQ chicken and the Pineapple Friend Rice without shrimp! :)
This is a great place to eat. You ALWAYS get fast and wonderful service. The food is great and you never have to wait - for anything. You are immediately seated, with a menu and water and the minute you order, I swear, you have food magically SO FAST.
I highly recommend this find in Sebastopol which as a town, either has overpriced fancy restaurants or total hippie dumps. This place can be counted on and we go there over and over again - weekly!
Thank you for being such a great oasis in a sea of crappy service in Sebastopol run by a bunch of hippie kids on the cheap where owners think they are saving money when really they are losing clientele and brand equity. Their loss, your gain!
Very good Thai food, instantly served. Their spicy curries make my scalp sweat! The soups: great. One can only wonder why the place is empty all the time? dinner for 2 including 2 imported beers, was $31....including tax, not tip. So this is inexpensive dining for California!
Thai Pot was one of my favorite restaurants during my time living in Sebastopol. The Pad Thai is always very good and the Pumpkin curry itself is a reason to check this place out. The prices are reasonable and the service is quick and attentive. If you like Thai food and find yourself in West County swing by because you won't be disappointed.
I ordered Veggie pad Thai, yellow curry vegetarian, vegetarian sweet and sour soup and vegetarian coconut soup. Wonderful
They could have put a bit more veggies in the Pad Thai.
Parking was difficult on a Saturday but well worth it.
Good food, good service, and good drunk noodles!!! You can't go wrong.

My sister, mom and I were up in Sebastopol under rather sad circumstances in January. With it being freezing and us needing to eat, we searched for something warm and came upon Thai Pot on our first night. WOW... we were all blown away. We expected some podunk lil town like this to have their version of thai-nese, as I call it ... thai chinese fare and bad asian at that. Oh lord no! This was, by far, the BEST peanut sauce I've ever had. Perfectly nutty, perfect consistency - not too thick, but not at all runny. Amazing soups, pad thai ... you name it. We went back two nights in a row.
My mom even asked them to franchise in LA. I wanted to take some home on the plane. If ever I'm within an hour of this place, I'm coming here.
I'm a thai food junkie, and I can tell you that this is a quality place. The only place close by where I've had better thai food is san francisco. It beats the pants off of it's competitors in santa rosa (so if you're driving down mendocino and you notice a pantsless thai house, now you know why).
First off, they get the details right. The thai iced tea is rich and delicious, the jasmine rice never over-cooked, and the peanut sauce good enough to eat by itself with your fingers. Not that I do that, just saying.
The best dish I have tasted there is the panaang curry. I don't think I've ever had better panaang. The yellow and green curries are good, but don't compare. The spring rolls and satay are a great place to start, as is the tom ka kai. The only thing I would steer clear of is the pad thai. This always makes me sad, as pad thai is one of my favorite dishes, but I've never had a good experience ordering it there.
When mango is in season they do a fantastic mango and sticky rice. Either way they give you a piece of cake to finish.
The service is always prompt, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere is a relaxed thai-sebastopol fusion. It's moderately priced for good thai food, and they offer killer lunch deals.
How people can review this place badly is beyond me. I've eaten here twice and so far everything is delicious! The pumpkin curry with chicken is amazing. Interesting Thai sake. The fried rice! (I fantasize about Thai white rice and it's perfectly chewy consistency). The owner (I think he's the owner) is a sweet and attentive man and I think if you like thai food and live near here you should try them! Support local businesses that contribute to our culinary diversity, you won't be disappointed.
Was not my first choice and almost did not go in tonight but boy am I glad we did. Ive only had Thai Food a few times but after tonight I am a life long fan.
We had/split:
The Hot and Sour Chicken Soup was a 10/10
Cucumber Salad 8/10 (best Ive had other than at the local sushi place)
Egg Roll 7/10 - wouldnt get again but did not really want these anyways
Yellow Chicken Curry - 10/10
Tofu and rice noodles (forgot the name) 10/10
The service was incredible. My water glass was empty for about 10 seconds. That is a huge plus for me! Food was hot, and served quickly. Service was great. Atmosphere was ok nothing fancy but who cares. Our waitor brought us out two tiny peices of the best moist chocolate cake ever. Just really really impressed overall. Best meal Ive had out in a long time. Our bill was $35 dollars and I left a 15 dollar tip. Go here.
I was so impressed that I signed up for a Yelp account to write a review. A quality place likes this deserves a few good words.
Great service and good food. Only 4 stars because the wine list needed help. Thai food is great for wine wines but you want something other than what you cab find at Safeway.
We ordered 2 thai ice teas, pad see eu, and the pumpkin curry. The curry was wonderful and good on brown rice.
Due to the fact that I work in Sebastopol, I'm downtown every day.
This place is close to work, pretty easy to get to (considering it's in Seb), and has some pretty decent foods.
Pad thai is good, but the ginger chicken with the wholegrain brown/wild rice is a relatively healthy, soothing comfort food.
The salad comes with a thick creamy peanut sauce, which mixes deliciously with the wild rice!
Also, they have a coconut tapioca pudding that is yummy, albeit slightly jello-like.
They also alter dishes for spice and preference, and are flexible when needing low sodium, high protein, or in my case, gluten-free.
I'd love for there to be a 5 minute parking in the front for take out....
We were starving and wanted real food, no mickey d's! Blah! We call Thai pot at 9:15 and ask when they close. They tell us 9:30, but that they'd be happy to seat us. We arrive at 9:20 and they have a large table set up for us. We sit down and order
Yellow curry chicken
Hot basil with chicken(spicy)
Chicken satay
Fried cheese wontons
Sweet and sour chicken
Beef with broccoli
I LOVED that my hot basil with chicken was actually a little spicy! It had a tiny bit of bite to it, enough to make your lips tingle. If you like stuff hotter then I'd ask for it to be extra spicy. It was still SO good though!! It was very reasonably priced too! About $70 for 6 of us including tip. Great place, with good food at a good price.
I won't give them a 5th star yet because I haven't tried the Pad Thai and I'm super picky about that :)
We had an early family dinner and ordered the Green Curry Chicken (it was good), Eggplant Vegetable (yummy), and Fried Chicken Dumplings (mmmm...fried).
The main dishes were off the early bird special menu and came with a soup or salad. We upgraded to the Wild Brown Rice for $1.50 per plate and glad we did because it was so moist and flavorful, not like the dry, shredded cardboard you get from some places.
Service was on point, plenty of water refills before the cups ran dry and everyone that came by the table was super friendly (I like your stylish, blond hair, dude). I think they should have booster seats or high chairs so little ones don't have to eat on their knees.
Best of all, instead of crappy mints you get Lindor Chocolate Truffles.
Now that's class.
I love the Pumkin Curry. We eat here or get take out every week. Also, they are very nice
It's been a few years since I've been here, but hit them up tonight because they're close and I was craving Tom Kha. We receive our to go order within 15 minutes, the soup was spicy as I requested and a nice blend of flavors. We'll probably be coming back more frequently now.
My husband picked up take out from Thai Pot in Sebastopol last night. It was delicious. We are trying to stick to a plant-based diet and Thai Pot has a lot of options. For instance, the Tom Yum soup can be either with a chicken or a vegetarian broth. My husband said he hesitated to choose vegetarian broth because sometimes that means bland. That was not the case here. It was rich and flavorful. That was the case with everything we had, from the brown rice, to spicy eggplant, and a vegetable red curry dish. My husband said the owner was very thoughtful and brought him a glass of water while he waited for the food (he did not call ahead), and then brought him a whole pitcher of water when he saw he'd run dry! It's nice to have this take out option of healthy well prepared food near our home. We'll be going back to Thai Pot sometime soon and try eating in the restaurant.
Thai Pot is our local favorite for Thai food. Best Thom Kha in the area, and delicious flavors in everything else we've ordered. Favorites are Pad Thai, fried rice, and curries.
Service is prompt and friendly.
All in all, a great place for authentic Thai!
Love this place - especially the tom kha tofu soup. I could eat it every day of the week! And the owners seem to be real Thai people, and thus know how to cook real Thai cuisine.
They can make it spicy but you have to be clear that you actually want it like that. The curries are wonderful here but you have to make sure you don't forget to order rice with it. It's a wonderful place to bring the vegan in the family to since there aren't a lot of places in town for that. My very picky six year old loved the cucumber salad!
Thai Pot in Sebastopol gets four stars from me and my family because the food here is soooooo much better than any other Asian restaurant in Sebastopol. We got take out last night after walking in, and took our meal (plenty hot) home a mere 20 minutes later. Fresh, flavorful and delicious. Lots of choices, something for everyone including kids.Service is very friendly and prompt. I was struck with the level of happy professionalism of the brother-sister team that helped us last night. We will definitely consider this for our next "night out".
